The Human Nutrition Unit

HNU is a nutrition research facility within The University of Auckland, New Zealand’s most prestigious and largest University.
The Unit undertakes research to identify dietary components which promote health and prevent disease.
The trials are carried out both as academic and commercial collaborations.

The Unit carries out nutrition intervention trials investigating the relationships between food components and health issues such as:

- overweight and obesity

- weight control & appetite regulation

- metabolic syndrome & dyslipidaemia

- cardiovascular & diabetic risk
